Needs Statement
Physicians, faculty, anesthesiologists, fellows, residents and medical students at Baylor College of Medicine need to be regularly updated with new advances and guidelines in anesthesiology to increase clinical knowledge, and implement them in clinical practice to improve competence and enhance the quality of patient care and outcomes.

- Discuss the management of tracheostomy cases.
- Discuss the complications attributed to tracheostomy cases.
- Explain how to manage hypoxic cardiac arrest in the operating room.

At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:
- Describe the different contributors to a difficult airway.
- Manage the difficult airway.
- Recognize the complications of tracheostomy.
