In this presentation, the members of the BCM Global Surgery Residency Track share research and experiences from their work in the field of global health. Dr. Rachel Davis, M.D., director of the Global Surgery Residency Track, shares her presentation entitled "Academic Global Surgery and the Evolution of a Field." And Dr. Sukriti Bansal, M.D., general surgery resident, presents "When Resources Become Limited: Lessons from Global Surgery and the COVID-19 Pandemic."

Needs Statement
General, plastic, thoracic, vascular, cardiothoracic, abdominal transplantation and surgical oncology physicians, residents, fellows and medical students need to be regularly updated on novel therapies, as well as advances in surgical care and clinical practices that will aid them in treating a variety of surgical procedures to increase the patient care experience and improve practice efficiency.
