In this presentation, Dr. Khalid Bashir, Dr. Ankita Sagar, Dr. Victor Waters, E. Gaye Woods, M.B.A., and Dr. Nathan Ziegler discuss the strategies to improve diagnosis and management of patients with chronic renal failure, including ways to address health access and equity, and utilization of best practices in this field.

Needs Statement
Physicians and advanced practice providers in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and other medical specialties need to receive regular updates on clinical best practices. Newly published, clinically relevant, evidence-based, peer-reviewed research articles will be used as an impetus for discussion. The series aims to accelerate the practice of evidence-based medicine across the physician enterprise to expand clinical knowledge, enhance the quality of care, and improve patient outcomes. The series also aims to disseminate disease-specific clinical best practices and to encourage networking and collaboration within and across medical specialties.

At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:
- Identify best practices related to the diagnosis and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
- Integrate strategies to improve current CommonSpirit Health community outreach efforts to engage populations at risk of CKD in early diagnostic testing.
- Recognize the importance of reviewing and discussing new clinical evidence in the context of improving care delivery and patient outcomes.
