Needs Statement
This comprehensive one-day course in advanced pulmonary medicine is designed to meet the evolving educational needs of pulmonologists, advanced practice providers, and primary care physicians. Recognizing the professional practice gaps in current diagnostic and treatment strategies, the curriculum offers a review of interstitial lung disease, COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, respiratory infections, lung cancer screening, and interventional pulmonary medicine. Participants will gain insights into recent therapeutic advances in ILD, pulmonary hypertension, asthma, and COPD, delivered by renowned experts in the field. The course combines didactic lectures with case-based discussions. A keynote speaker will present a state-of-the-art lecture on recent developments in interpretation of High resolution CT scans of the chest. Through this targeted and interactive format, we aim to bridge knowledge gaps and equip clinicians with the competencies needed for transformative, evidence-based practice.
