CE Educator's Toolkit
The Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME), with funding from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), has developed a CE Educator's Toolkit to provide pedagogical training and tools to guide faculty in developing effective, engaging continuing education activities. For each type of educational intervention, the toolkit includes case scenarios, guiding questions, and evaluation tools for tracking learner progress.
The ACCME Academy
The ACCME Academy provides an array of resources to support educational program design, including: self-paced courses on key pedagogical topics, tools to supplement planning, and access to a wider community of practice for peer-learning and collaboration. Some of the resources are available at no cost to accredited providers while others are on a fee-per-course basis. Questions about accessing the ACCME Academy resources? Contact: cpd@bcm.edu.
American Academy of Pediatrics
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has developed resources to share best practices in curricular design. These include tip sheets and tools, such as standards for developing live and virtual hybrid activities, principles of adult learning, quality improvement methods, and debriefing strategies following an educational activity. Also included are scholarly reviews of educational articles that can be applied to educational design and implementation.
