CME Requirements
The State Medical Board of Ohio requires 100 CME hours every two years. A minimum of 50 hours must be AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, by the AOA as category 1-A or 2-A, or by the APMA as category 1.
Ohio Topics Requirements
For physicians who own pain management clinics:
At least 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in Pain Medicine, including courses on addiction potential. These credits count toward the Category 1 requirement for certificate of registration renewal.
For physicians offering office-based treatment for opioid addiction (OBOT):
At least 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in Substance Abuse and Addiction.
