CME Requirements
To stay licensed, Delaware Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline requires 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ every 2 years.
Delaware Topics Requirements
State-specific requirements for Delaware Physicians include:
≥ 1 hour of mandatory training required by Delaware law that meets the requirements of the Child Protection Accountability Commission (CPAC). Topics include how to recognize child sexual and physical abuse, exploitation and domestic violence; and reporting obligations under the Medical Practice Act and 16 Del. C. §903.
For initial applicants for Controlled Substance Registration:
2 credits in the areas of Controlled Substance Prescribing Practices, Treatment of Chronic Pain, or other topics related to the Prescribing of Controlled Substances.
For physicians holding a Controlled Substance Registration:
1 hour (mandatory) of Delaware-specific Controlled Substance education. Curriculum must be approved by the Delaware Secretary of State. The Division of Professional Regulation offers the only course that is currently approved.
