Student Opportunities for Advancement in Research
The Student Opportunities for Advancement in Research (SOAR) Office fosters research and professional growth by creating connections between students and faculty within BCM and its affiliates. Through its SOAR database, a searchable catalogue of BCM projects, students can learn more about the array of research programming at the institution and find opportunities for collaboration with faculty. In turn, faculty can post brief descriptions of their initiatives in the database and recruit from a talented pool of emerging healthcare researchers. With clear search tools for browsing projects by department, research type, or faculty name and useful features such as bookmarks and notifications, the SOAR database is a valuable tool for bridging disciplines, creating mentorship opportunities, and driving collaborative research.
