Needs Statement

The purpose of this conference is to further enhance the clinical knowledge of the pathophysiology of pulmonary vein stenosis. Furthermore, the modes of optimal diagnosis & treatment are incompletely defined Sharing of knowledge amongst leaders in the field is expected to improve care.

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to:

  • Recall the physiologic effects of pulmonary vein stenosis on pulmonary vein flow, intrapulmonary shunting, and disease progression
  • Summarize the state-of-the-art catheter-based, surgical, and medical therapies used in treatment of pulmonary vein stenosis in terms of treatment and expected outcomes
  • Outline the rationale and efficacy of team-based approach to treatment of pulmonary vein stenosis
