This Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Grand Rounds session will take place on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Attendance for this event will only be available virtually through Zoom.

Needs Statement

Pulmonary critical care physicians and fellows, internal medicine residents, medical students, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare providers in related disciplines need to receive regular updates on advances in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. A multi-disciplinary approach and expert opinion will be used to evaluate cases of common and complex pulmonary and sleep disorders. The aim of the series is to expand clinical knowledge, disseminate evidence-based research findings, promote clinical best practices, enhance the quality of pulmonary and critical care, and improve patient outcomes.

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate greater understanding of the concept of asthma heterogeneity.
  • Recognize the range of factors that contribute to the heterogeneity.
  • Identify ways to address the factors underlying the heterogeneity to improve treatment.
