This Gynecologic Oncology Tumor Board session will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. This series is restricted to tumor board participants and will not be broadcast.

Needs Statement

Gynecologic oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, clinical pharmacists, advanced practice providers, fellows, residents, and medical students need to receive regular updates on advances in gynecologic cancer research and clinical best practices. The series aims to advance the knowledge of learners, promote an interdisciplinary team approach to gynecologic oncology care, facilitate adherence to professional guidelines, increase molecular and genetic testing of patients, expand participation in clinical trials, and improve patient outcomes.

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Facilitate effective collaboration and communication among an interprofessional care team in managing patients with gynecologic cancer.
  • Adhere to professional standards, including the National Comprehensive Cancer Network practice guidelines, in treating patients with gynecologic cancer.
  • Demonstrate the expanding role of molecular and genetic diagnostics in delivering precision treatments for gynecologic cancer.
  • Appraise the clinical trials available to patients with gynecologic cancer and identify patients eligible for enrollment.
