ABOUT SETXGWEP
The South East Texas Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (SETxGWEP), was funded in 2019 by the United States’ Health Resources Services Administration to prepare the Southeast Texas region with the training and resources to address the specific concerns of aging adults and their caregivers. Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Introduce the utilization of screening tools in chronic pain patients.
- Review the prescription drug monitoring program and how it should be utilized as part of a comprehensive patient work up.
- Discuss the physician-patient pain treatment agreements and how they should be utilized in practice.
- Incorporate the comprehensive pain management requirements set forth in the Texas Administrative Code.
