This Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine Grand Rounds session will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. and has been approved for CME and Social Work credit. Attendance will be available remotely through Zoom.

Needs Statement

Geriatricians, palliative care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, geriatric fellows, family medicine and internal medicine residents, medical students, social workers, pharmacists, and rehabilitation specialists need to receive regular updates on advances in geriatric research and professional guidelines for geriatric and palliative care. The series aims to provide specialty training to healthcare professionals to foster greater understanding of functional decline in elderly adults, enhance age-appropriate care, and promote quality-of-life improvements focused on the Age Friendly Health System "4Ms" construct (medications, mentation, mobility, and what matters most to the patient). The series also aims to encourage engagement in clinical research and professional development activities that will enrich geriatric and palliative medicine.
