This Barrow Neurological Institute – Joint Grand Rounds will take place on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 8:30 A.M. Attendance will be available in-person at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona; and virtually through Zoom.

Needs Statement
Physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students need to be regularly updated on advances in neurosurgery to manage patients with neurological disorders. Emerging discoveries in neurosurgical research and clinical practice impact patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, and practice patterns. The series will address the latest evidence-based research and best practice recommendations and provide practical examples learners need to assess and integrate medical knowledge into clinical decision-making.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:
- Describe the role that blood pressure has in a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).
- Discuss coagulation abnormalities in SAH.
- Develop strategies to diagnose and the clinical treatment of vasospasm and delayed cerebral ischemia post SAH.
